About Us


Humble Beginnings

The Family Life Center was established in 1987 as the Flagler Ecumenical Social Service Center, Inc. to be operated exclusively as a tax exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended and in accordance with Florida Statutes Chapter 617 with the following purposes:

  • To provide temporary refuge to any adult and any accompanying minor or dependent adult.
  • To educate the community on the issues of violence in our society.
  • To publicize the availability of the services of the corporation to the public.
  • To maintain a commitment to break the cycle of violence that is perpetuated from generation to generation by maintaining an Outreach Program for children.


Vision, Values, & Strategic Plan

 The Family Life Center will lead the community in ending the perpetration of Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence throughout Flagler County.
